The Moorabool Light Orchestra Spring Concert will take place on Sunday afternoon 15 September 2019 @2pm in the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall and features a "Young Peoples Concert" for the Young and Young at Heart.
Children 16 Years and Under are invited to make their own novelty Musical Instrument at home, and join with the Moorabool Light Orchestra during a special "Audience Participation Segment" on Sunday 15 September 2019 - Special "Young Peoples Concert"

The Moorabool Light Orchestra Inc is a community organisation, based at Bacchus Marsh in Victoria.  

·      The prime purpose of the orchestra is "to provide a place for musicians of all ages from across the Moorabool Shire and Neighbouring Regions to connect, through all forms of orchestral music, by providing an educational and entertaining music program both for its members and its audiences"

Instrumentation covers Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion.

The orchestra does NOT rehearse all year round, but re-groups for approx 4 – 6 weeks for rehearsal, (pending the repertoire) ahead of 3 or 4 major concerts a year (ie Autumn, Winter, Spring & Christmas/Summer).  

The orchestra rehearses on a Tuesday evening (when preparing for a concert) from 7.30pm - 9.30pm at the Bacchus Marsh Baptist Church,29 Holt's Lane Darley (Bacchus Marsh).

The orchestra currently has 60 musicians registered on its books and new members are always welcome.
